Pushing ourselves to innovate, we developed different methods of assessing and measuring the benefits of clinical trials. Our programs and their impacts include:
Combined clinical trial results from multiple studies into a single database to identify trends and gain insights so new treatments can get to the people who need them faster.
Designed new lupus disease activity measurement tools that integrate patients' concerns and priorities as well as the clinician's. It's the first tool to evaluate treatment decisions and the effectiveness of treatments.
Provided 3,000 clinical investigators in more than 50 countries with standardized training on the correct use of the instruments that measure disease activity in clinical trials to obtain more consistent, accurate data.
Presented consensus recommendations to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for improving lupus clinical trial design, allowing for smaller, more efficient trials.
