The Lupus Foundation of America is a charitable organization with tax-exempt status granted under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Our Federal ID# is 43-1131436. Donations are tax-deductible to the full extent allowed by law.
The Lupus Foundation of America is a BBB Accredited Charity, is recognized by the National Health Council for meeting their Standards of Excellence and has a Gold Star rating from Guidestar.
Lupus Foundation of America complies with IRS tax-exempt public inspection requirements by posting our 990 forms and audited financial statements. Financial reports are prepared according to generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP); are audited annually by an outside, public accounting firm; approved by our national Board of Directors; and are reported publicly as required by strict state and federal regulations.
