For the first time since 2019, lupus advocates will come together in Washington, DC for the nation's largest lupus advocacy event! From April 23–25, Summit attendees will learn from experts in the field about the latest in lupus research, connect with hundreds of their fellow lupus advocates, and turn Capitol Hill purple by advocating for their members of Congress to join our fight against this terrible disease.

Learn MoreMake Your Mark is the community fundraising program of the Lupus Foundation of America. Each year, hundreds of Make Your Mark members organize unique events and athletic feats that raise money to fight lupus. Use your passion to raise funds for lupus through a local event, special occasion, athletic competition or whatever you have in mind.

On average, it takes nearly six years for people with lupus to be diagnosed, from the time they first notice their lupus symptoms.
The Lupus Foundation of America estimates that 1.5 million Americans, and at least five million people worldwide, have a form of lupus.
Lupus strikes mostly women of childbearing age. However, men, children, and teenagers develop lupus, too. Most people with lupus develop the disease between the ages of 15-44.
