It doesn't matter where you live, YOU can be an active contributor in Solving the Cruel Mystery of Lupus without leaving your home town.

We hear from individuals regularly that tell us due to location, timing of year, or health they are unable to participate in one of our official chapter fundraising events. Our third party fundraising platforms gives ANYone, ANYtime, and ANY place a chance to get involved in supporting the fight against Lupus by providing a fundraising platform that empowers you to raise money for a great cause.

The Lupus Foundation of America, North Carolina Chapter (LFANC) is 100% locally funded and pursuing our mission requires significant financial resources – a substantial portion of which are obtained through third party fundraisers for which we are extremely grateful. A third party fundraiser is any fundraising activity by a group or individual other than LFANC with all or a portion of proceeds being dedicated to LFANC.

We know every fundraising activity is unique, read below for the different platforms available to help make your efforts a success.

Host an Offline Fundraiser

Turn your passion into action through our chapter's LFA Fundraise Your Way program. Host an offline third party fundraiser by planning a local community event, establishing a corporate activity, launching a mutually beneficial cause-marketing campaign, or conducting some other creative way to raise funds for the LFA, NC Chapter. Your fundraising efforts will raise awareness and hope in our community, support our mission and help us to Solve the Cruel Mystery of Lupus! We are grateful for dollars raised through events – they help us advance the science and medicine of Lupus to find a cure and improve the quality of life for all people affected by Lupus.

Host an Online Fundraiser

The Make Your Mark™ program is an online fundraising platform to empower supporters, like you, and brings together communities across the country to make their mark in the fight against Lupus by creating unique event to raise funds to support the millions of families impacted by Lupus. If you have a love for cooking, biking, performing or even just getting together with friends for a good time, you can turn that passion into a wonderful way to raise money for a great cause. The Make Your Mark™ program will help you to create a unique event —so that you can make your mark in Solving the Cruel Mystery of Lupus.

HOST A PARTY!

Dedicate your wedding, Bar Mitzvah or birthday party to raise funds to end Lupus. How about hosting a party at a bar with signature purple drinks? Get your friends together at a restaurant where the night’s profits go to fight Lupus? A party at the office after work? Or maybe just pancakes for the neighborhood. You pick the party, and we’ll help you organize your friends.

GET ACTIVE!

From marathons to 5Ks, triathlons to cycling events, walking, swimming or jumping rope the possibilities are endless. Whether you are registered for an existing event or would like to host something in your community, combining your physical efforts with your fundraising allows you to experience that place where the magic happens.

DO WHATEVER YOU HAVE IN MIND!

Ever host a fashion show — at the community college or at your local church? Paint your town purple? Think your friends won’t get soaked with water balloons for a good cause? You might persuade them.
