Providing Answers, Support and Hope in Pennsylvania, Delaware and Southern New Jersey
LFA Philadelphia Tri-State Chapter transitions to PDV Region
For nearly 50 years, the Philadelphia Tri-State Chapter has made a significant impact in the community providing crucial funds for research, education and local support for those living with lupus. As we look to the New Year and the opportunity for new beginnings, we are eager to share some exciting news!
After months of thoughtful discussion and planning, we are pleased to share that the Philadelphia Tri-State Chapter has fully integrated with the Lupus Foundation of America’s national organization and has become the Pennsylvania Delaware Valley Region to better reflect the full territory served. By combining our expertise and resources, it will allow us to better serve the interests and challenges faced by those impacted by lupus.
You might be wondering what this change will mean for you. You can expect the same great local resources, programs, and services that we currently offer but with additional opportunities to collectively move our mission forward. As part of the national organization, the local staff remain focused on what matters most: how to effectively meet the needs of people we serve, you!
We also want to take this opportunity to remind you to take advantage of our many terrific programs and resources –including one-on-one support and resource counseling, education and empowerment conferences -Lupus & You, self-management resources - Take Charge and SELF, and the National Resource Center on Lupus, just to name a few. You can also stay up to date on the latest research developments, by signing up for Inside Lupus Research.
What is next?
You can expect to start hearing more from us in the coming weeks and months on how you can get more involved. We are actively working to plan our 2024 calendar of events and programs and look forward to seeing you at our in-person Lupus & You education programs and our signature Walk to End Lupus Now and Lupus Loop events across the Region, including expanding our presence in the Pittsburgh market.
As always, we are grateful for your continued support. We look forward to updating you as we enter this new phase and evolve so we can best meet the needs of people with lupus.
