Mike M- Diagnosed Age 43
I was diagnosed with severe rheumatoid arthritis and lupus back in July of 2018. It hit me so hard that I could barely walk when I got out of bed. At 43, I had to hold on to walls so my joints wouldn’t crumble. I experienced severe muscle fatigue and had to go through a million blood tests which drained me even more. I have been on multiple treatments including methotrexate, hydroxychloroquine, and many others. All of them made me sick and left me with side effects. I had to go to physical therapy, both water and land. It didn’t work. The doctor wanted more blood drawn and saw that my liver was getting damaged so I stopped all treatment. I changed my diet and have been trying to live a normal life. I have good days but more bad. This has cost me my job and almost my family. I still don’t know what’s going on with my body but doing my best to figure out how to live with this. I am truly an advocate for this!
