Tashay R. – Diagnosed at age 30

I started to experience numbness in my hands and feet in the Spring of 2020. Along with much fatigue and weight loss, my fingers would turn white and it became uncomfortable to walk on my feet. All of a sudden I had swelling and discomforting joint pain. That's when I finally decided, yep it’s about time I need to see a doctor. After seeing a few specialists and having extensive bloodwork, I eventually was diagnosed with lupus and later Raynaud’s disease. Day to day I fight. I try not to allow it to become too much of a physical and emotional burden though at times it has.
