Providing Answers, Support, and Hope in Texas
Lupus can make everyday life difficult for otherwise healthy adults, but imagine the challenges that kids face when they get diagnosed with this disease.
Support from family, friends, and doctors can make it a little easier, but kids also need to be kids!
Camp For All (6301 Rehburg Rd | Burton, TX 77835) is designed to engage kids impacted by lupus with a variety of activities.
Dr. Bray is a board-certified pediatric rheumatologist and assistant professor at UTHealth Houston McGovern Medical School.
Dr. Meredith Rae is a pediatric rheumatology fellow at Baylor College of Medicine.
Dr. Natalie McGinnis is a third-year pediatric resident at UTHealth.
Dr. Andrew Franks is a third-year pediatric resident at UTHealth.
Jay Mendenhall is a 4th-year medical student at UTHealth.
While parents are unable to attend, Camp Counselors, Cabin Leaders, Medical Volunteers, and other supervisory staff will be on-site at all times. The camp, while focused on supporting kids impacted by lupus, also wants them to have a fun and engaging weekend while providing the support and engagement needed to understand the impact of lupus. The camp requires only a $10 deposit to attend. All fees including transportation, cabin, activities, and meals are covered by Lupus Texas Gulf Coast!
You can still support the vital work of the Chapter if you are unable to attend.
