Providing Answers, Support and Hope in Georgia
St. Patrick's Day Festival - March 14, 2020
On March 14, 2020, Limerick Junction partners with the Lupus Foundation of America, Georgia Chapter to raise funds and grow awareness.
Limerick Junction opened on March 16th, 1988, just in time for St. Patrick’s Day. It was filled with Irish antiques that can still be seen today, such as the school benches in the windows and the wardrobe that is the back bar. Having a strong tradition of live entertainment most nights of the week, Limerick Junction has a long history with local musicians and in recent years, local comedy. Atlanta’s oldest Irish pub was also recently featured in Clint Eastwood’s “15:17 to Paris” as a location simulating Amsterdam. The pub’s name comes from the only town in Ireland that actually grew around a railroad, much like Atlanta being built around the Southern railroad hub to the U.S. Midwest in 1836, when Georgia decided to build the line’s terminus here.
For a genuine Irish experience this St. Patrick’s Day in Atlanta and to help support the Lupus Foundation of America, Georgia Chapter by raising funds and growing awareness, head to Limerick Junction for a fun filled day. This genuine Irish pub, Atlanta’s oldest, has been a cornerstone of the Virginia-Highland restaurant scene since its doors opened 31 years ago next week. Advanced tickets are just $10.00 which will get attendees access to the Block Party with limited access to the inside of Limerick Junction as space allows.
