Providing Answers, Support and Hope in Georgia
The Georgia Chapter Partners with Angel Flight
The Lupus Foundation of America, Georgia Chapter will partner this year with Angel Flight for the first time. Angel Flight is located in Dekalb Peachtree Airport and serves those residing in Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, Tennessee, North Carolina, and South Carolina. Supplying free air transportation for those with medical needs, Angel Flight and the Georgia Chapter have now partnered in the hope that this organization can bring more awareness and resources to the patients in Georgia. This will be the first time these two organizations have partnered in order to bring more awareness to what lupus is and who it affects.
About Angel Flight
Angel Flight Soars knows that illness isn't stopped by boundaries and believe that cures shouldn't be either, whether those boundaries are geographic or financial. We help by coordinating free flights with volunteer pilots on private aircraft to lifesaving medical treatments!
Our community service is available for any medically stable and ambulatory patient demonstrating a financial need and/or anyone who cannot utilize or access commercial transportation. Angel Flight serves those who reside in, are traveling to or traveling through the states of Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee. When needs extend beyond this region, we coordinate with affiliate organizations through the Air Care Alliance.
Angel Flight Soars is a non-profit 501(c)(3), we help families by eliminating the concern of how to get to necessary medical care, so they are able to focus on a resolution for their medical condition. Hopefully, this will help the patient to a more speedy recovery and enable the family to resume participation in their communities and workplaces.
In our 34 years of service to the community, we have helped families by arranging over 39,000 mission flights. Last year alone, Angel Flight Soars coordinated 3,209 missions - that's 9 missions a day, 7 days a week. We have helped patients from newborn to 97 years old with 150 different medical conditions. This year, we want to do even more, and we need your help to make that happen!
Our Angels are ready to take flight to help families get the hope of lifesaving medical treatments! If you need our help or would like to help support our mission, please contact us today.
It doesn't take a miracle to get people to the medical care they need, but it does require a few angels. You can be an angel too - by helping support our cause. To become an Angel and help get people the life saving medical treatment they deserve - spread the word of our service, volunteer or donate today!
