Ambassadors
The Lupus Foundation of America Ambassador Program allows dedicated volunteers from across the country to assist us in expanding our reach into their communities, thereby playing a critical role in raising awareness of lupus.
The Lupus Foundation of America Ambassadors are a network of passionate and committed volunteers from across the country partnering with us to expand our reach and our impact by raising awareness and educating their communities about lupus.
Through peer-to-peer education and outreach efforts in local communities, ambassadors are able to reach a diverse audience and share information about the signs and symptoms of lupus to reduce time to diagnosis, educate on the importance of participation in clinical trials in order to advance lupus research, and ensure people in their communities have the information, tools and resources to help them manage their disease.
The ambassador position is a volunteer role, filled based on prior engagement with the Lupus Foundation of America, and is by invitation only.

The Circle of Excellence
The Circle of Excellence is our ambassador appreciation program, to highlight and thank ambassadors for their dedication and service to the lupus community. The program runs on a calendar year cycle, and ambassadors who complete designated engagement criteria within that time receive a fun gift! The Lupus Foundation of America thanks our 2024 Circle of Excellence sponsor Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals.
There are many ways to help raise awareness for lupus. Visit the Get Involved page for more ways to join the cause!
